Where did the idea of UtopiaVR come from

Infinite World Games: A Journey Through Time

A Dream Born in Childhood

Our founder's vision began long ago:

  • As a child, he dreamed of entering movie worlds like Westworld and Star Wars
  • This sparked his interest in coding at just nine years old
  • A lifelong passion for virtual reality was ignited

The Original Team Forms in 1995

Our core team united with a shared vision:

  • Inspired by the movie Lawnmower Man
  • Used Render386, Crystal Space, and DIY VR gear
  • Aimed to build a true virtual universe inside PCs

Overcoming Obstacles

We faced significant hurdles:

  • Hardware was too big and costly
  • Internet speeds were slow and unreliable
  • The tech wasn't ready for our ambitious plans

Contributing to VR Advancements

We continued pushing boundaries:

  • Worked with corporations like Caterpillar on VR simulations
    • Used Sense8 libraries to create virtual environments
  • Assisted indie developers with Unity-based mobile apps and games

Life Intervenes

Personal circumstances put plans on hold:

  • Raised three young children as a single parent
  • Balanced parenting with a full-time job
  • Put dreams of UtopiaVR on temporary pause

The Spark Rekindled

A catalyst reignited our passion:

  • Ready Player One film sparked renewed interest
  • Son's enthusiasm reignited the founder's determination
  • Oculus Rift purchase marked the beginning of a new era
  • Team reunited, determined to bring the dream to life

How to setup Events

First you must log into the account and go to the event creation tab. Login>

World building

In UtopiaVR, there are two ways of world building 3D party apps and unity uploader and in app building with our, yours, and other Utopians 3D objects, materials, textures, etc. Click here for more information. Your not just single zones or worlds now. You create a universe, then a world and then add plots of land aka what most other metaverses call worlds.
